Greetings from CADA!

Thank you for your interest in Sonrisa (a brand-new CADA Community) and for reaching out to us through the CADA website.

We have not filled up our waitlist for this property yet and will continue to accept Sonrisa rental applications until further notice. The Sonrisa application can be picked up at the CADA Leasing Office or downloaded and printed from the Sonrisa website here: Sonrisa Application Packet link. Applications are accepted in person only* at the CADA Leasing Office Monday – Friday, from 9AM – 3PM until Sonrisa is full.

The CADA Leasing Office is located at 1522 14th Street in Downtown Sacramento on the corner of 14th and P streets.

Income Limits

Applicants are subject to income maximums, and must meet income and asset guidelines to qualify.

The minimum gross household monthly income is 2X the applicant's net monthly rent.
Housing choice vouchers (Section 8) and VASH vouchers are accepted. If the voucher covers 100% of rent, then the minimum income requirement is $200. (Guarantors cannot cover this $200 minimum income threshold.)

Minimum Household Annual Gross Income Limit: $15,600/yr.  ($1300/mo.) If you have a housing voucher, the minimum income limit is 2X the tenant portion of rent per month, or $200, whichever is higher.

To apply, applicants must bring a completed application (1 application per household), payment for the $35 Application Fee (per adult), an original photo ID and an original Social Security card (copies not accepted). Please submit the application fee payments in either EXACT CASH, a CASHIER’S CHECK or a MONEY ORDER. (No personal checks or Credit Card payments will be accepted.) 

Sonrisa is still an active construction site. Property and unit tours will not be available until early January, 2023. Unit selections will be made during your 2nd application appointment, after you have been credit, background and rental history-approved and invited back for an “intake” appointment.

Please see building photos on our Gallery page and the microunit floorplan. You’ll have a chance to view your apartment before move-in, sometime in mid-late January 2023, but tours will not be available before then.

Sonrisa is an income-based Tax Credit property. Income restrictions apply. HCV (Section 8) and VASH vouchers accepted. Income certification and annual income recertifications are required.
